Who doesn’t love a buttery, flaky, golden crust every now and then?
Add flour, salt, and cold cubed butter to your food processor. It’s important that the butter be cold so that the crust comes out flaky.
Pulse until it resembles wet sand.
Add cold water a few Tablespoons at a time and pulse until the dough comes together.
Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Flour your rolling pin and your board so that the dough won’t stick and form the dough in to a disc.
Roll it out to your desired thickness. For a golden crust, brush the top with egg wash before baking. Egg wash is just an egg yolk and a splash of water whisked together.
