I have NEVER in my life boarded an airplane to fly somewhere colder than Kansas City in the winter. I’m all about the sunshine and the beach on a winter vacation. I have to say…I would totally do it all over again! Yep! The Pinch of Yum Workshop would motivate me to go to Minneapolis, Minnesota, in the middle of November, when the temperatures were in the low 20’s, and the wind was whipping through me like a knife, all over again. It was that great!
After checking our handy dandy GPS, we decided to walk to the loft the first day. 1.3 miles…we could knock that out in 15 minutes or less. After all, we walk 2 miles in under 30 minutes all the time. Well, 30 minutes later, we arrived. What’s up with that? Either the GPS was not accurate or…we have been fooling ourselves for a long time about the amount of exercise we have been doing?
The loft is the coolest, most hip, most happenin’ place you have ever seen!
I so want to stay here forever!!!
Lindsay, the super cool blogger behind Pinch of Yum, and her assistants laid out this beautiful spread for us to practice with.
Without their encouragement, I never would have attempted this shot!
Or this one…
I’m kind of proud of this one too.
When the workshop was over, we got to sign their chalk board. Apparently, I wanted to make sure some one who was legally blind could read our names. Can I have a do over, please???
The super sweet ladies from Florida took our picture (I bet they were happy to get home).
Group photo!
What a great two days! I gained so much invaluable information and I am so inspired as a result. As an added bonus, the weather here doesn’t seem so bad.

That syrup drizzle picture! I could stare at it all day! 🙂 Thanks for coming to Minneapolis, Niki and Randy – it was so great to meet you!
We had such a great time, Lindsay! I learned so much and am so inspired! I’m ashamed to admit, I opened that photo on the computer for our viewing pleasure all Friday evening…and maybe even when we got home a little bit. You and your team are doing a great job, thanks so much for such a priceless experience!
