Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1/2 yellow or white onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 sage leaves chopped
  • 1 sprig rosemary chopped
  • 1 Tbsp ginger minced
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 2 oranges zested and juiced
  • 1 lemon zested and juiced
  • 24 ounces fresh cranberries (two 12 ounce packages)
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup honey

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, over medium heat, melt the butter
  • Sauté the onions, garlic, sage, rosemary, and ginger until tender, about 5 minutes
  • Add wine, juice and zest of oranges, juice and zest of the lemon, and cranberries
  • Simmer 15-20 minutes
  • Season with salt
  • Stir in honey
  • Stir another minute to break down cranberries
  • Taste and add more salt or honey if desired
