- 2 Tbsp melted butter
- 2/3 pound lean ground beef
- 1/3 pound sausage
- 1 tsp Italian herb seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 roma tomato sliced
- 1 bulb garlic roasted
- 1 cup mozarella cheese grated
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Add the melted butter to a 9" or 10" oven proof skillet
Combine ground beef, sausage, Italian herb seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper and press over the bottom and up the sides of your skillet (about 1/3" thick)
Bake for 30 minutes
Top with sliced tomato, roasted cloves of garlic, and cheese
Bake 8-10 minutes
Any ground meat you like can be substituted for the beef.
To roast a bulb of garlic, cut the top off of the garlic, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in aluminum foil, and bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes.
